Adopt KS Kids partners with child welfare agencies across the state to recruit and support families who are interested in adoption from foster care.

Many children are adopted by relatives, non-relative kin such as teachers or family friends, or foster parents. Others continue to wait. Currently about 500 Kansas children are in foster care waiting to be adopted. The children are of all ages, races, ethnic groups, and socio-economic backgrounds. The majority of these children are age 12 and older, have two or more siblings, or have special needs.

For more information about how to get started, the adoption process, and additional resources, register your family to be connected with our team of adoption professionals! Registration is located in the top right corner of your page.
