If you ask Ibbe what he likes to do for fun, you’ll probably get a long list of answers. He’s the kind of person who enjoys a little bit of everything and is always willing to try something new.
One of Ibbe’s favorite ways to spend time is playing video games. He enjoys Madden, NBA 2K, Mortal Kombat, and Fortnite, and if you ask him, he’d tell you he’s pretty good at them too. In fact, one of the things Ibbe likes best about himself is his gaming skills. He currently shares a PS5 and dreams of having one of his very own someday.
When he’s not gaming, Ibbe enjoys staying active. He likes shooting hoops at the YMCA with friends and would tell you basketball is probably his best sport. Being tall and strong certainly helps, but his favorite part is playing offense and taking shots. He also enjoys tossing a football around and hopes to improve his skills enough to become a wide receiver one day.
Some of Ibbe’s favorite memories involve simply spending time with the people he cares about. He enjoys going out to eat, catching a movie, and having fun together. He has mentioned that he would enjoy having siblings in the home because he likes having other kids around to hang out with and share activities. When it comes to movies, scary films are his favorite. The Nun and The Black Phone are two that stand out to him, although when he’s looking for something familiar, Daddy’s Home is one of his go-to comfort movies. He’s also a big fan of Will Ferrell.
Ibbe enjoys trying new foods and experiences too. When asked about his favorite restaurant, his answer was simple: buffets. He likes having lots of options to choose from and enjoys trying different foods. If dessert is involved, even better. Cake and cinnamon rolls are at the top of his list, which may explain why he had so much fun learning to decorate cakes as part of his YCP.
Whether he’s gaming, playing sports, watching movies, trying new foods, or just spending time with people he enjoys, Ibbe is happiest when he’s making memories and having fun with others.
For Ibbe, traveling isn’t just about where you go, it’s about what you get to experience along the way. Some of his favorite memories come from the adventures he’s shared with others, whether that means exploring the outdoors, spending time on the water, meeting animals, fishing, horseback riding, or trying something completely new.
As you can see, Ibbe enjoys a wide variety of activities and likes making the most of every trip. He can have just as much fun on a fishing dock or boat as he can exploring a new attraction, visiting a theme park, or spending time with friends and family.
One of Ibbe’s favorite trips was a recent vacation to Florida. During the trip, he visited Universal Studios, rode roller coasters, and got to experience all kinds of new adventures. The roller coasters quickly became one of his favorite parts of the trip, and the experience left him hoping to return someday.
If Ibbe could plan his next vacation, it would probably include both a beach and Disney World. After enjoying Florida so much, he’d love the chance to go back, spend more time by the water, and experience Disney for the first time.
Holidays are something Ibbe looks forward to every year. He enjoys all kinds of celebrations and traditions because they give him something fun to anticipate and create opportunities to spend time with the people around him.
Halloween and Christmas are his favorites. Halloween is hard to beat because of the candy (obviously), but he also loves getting dressed up and showing off a fun costume. Some of his favorites over the years have been a Fortnite character and Marshmello, with Marshmello taking the top spot.
Christmas is another favorite because of the excitement, traditions, and opening gifts. His favorite gift of all time has been his tablet, and these days the top items on his wish list are a PS5 of his very own and the newest Madden game.
